Intro

“Love, like all arts, as Oscar said, is quite useless. It is the useless things that make life worth living, and that make life dangerous, too. Wine, love, art, beauty. Without them life is safe, but not worth bothering with.”

– Stephen Fry

About Arts.Culture.NL

Provides accurate, hand-picked and up-to-date marketing data in order to reach out to art and culture enthusiasts, specialists & professionals in The Netherlands. The specialised databases offer all the information needed for a Dutch audience-targeted arts and culture marketing campaign. In addition to list broking as described here, ACNL can also assist in specialised art and culture marketing campaigns.

Art and culture enthusiasts

The consumer market for art and culture lovers in The Netherlands is a large target group that has been growing for years and has a broad age composition. The audience growth concerns almost all art sectors with the largest increase in attendance at museums, presentation institutions, and festivals and events.

Specialist & professionals

Along with a high density of arts and culture institutes, manifestations and events spread all over the country, ACNL’s database includes numerous professionals such as curators, museum directors, art historians and arts & culture teachers in The Netherlands.

About the data

Consists of information all available in the public domain with an accuracy of 90 to 95%. The data provided contains personal business information on a ‘and/or’ basis: email addresses, websites, LinkedIn profiles, Facebook profiles, Twitter profiles and Instagram profiles. If, for example, email addresses are missing for privacy reasons, people can still be contacted via their LinkedIn profile or other available social media. Note that not all people, publishers, companies and so on use all available social media options – some stick to the use of a single website or blog. The set-up of the database is in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Data specifications – Media Database

In order to reach out to art and culture enthusiasts, the Media Database contains data/contact information on media, (freelance/employed) journalists, editors, authors, influencers and bloggers that publish online and/or in print, with a focus on arts, culture and lifestyle. Included are circulation figures and number of followers. The data list also includes media and user profiles which have few followers or circulation numbers but who are considered to be of great influence and/or importance when reaching out to the target audience. Part of the database is a list of travel agencies and organisers (big and small) specialised in art and culture tours and excursions. See more information under ‘About the data’.

Data specifications – Professionals Database

Whether to connect with or to inform colleague professionals, the Professionals Database lists various professions and associated professionals in the Dutch arts and culture sector. Available are lists of curators, museum directors, art historians, art restorers and custodians. Information includes data as described under ‘About the data’.
